Sudhir Sinha, Ph.D.
CEO and President
As a successful entrepreneur, Dr. Sinha previously established and served as President and Lab Director of ReliaGene Technologies, an accredited DNA testing lab located in New Orleans, LA. With over 36 years experience in chemical and biochemical research and management, Dr. Sinha is well-recognized in the international scientific community, authoring numerous research papers, holding various patents, and having presented his work at many international conferences. He has chaired workshops and scientific sessions at the American Academy of Forensic Sciences and the American Association of Blood Banks annual meetings. Dr. Sinha is a court qualified expert in molecular biology and DNA analysis having testified in 24 jurisdictions throughout the United States.
Dr. Sinha was instrumental in designing and producing the first commercial Y-STR DNA test kit for forensic use (Y-PLEX) and was a member of the Y-STR database consortium established by the National Institute of Justice. He was awarded an export promotion award by the US Department of Commerce for this DNA testing kit.
Dr. Sinha is an adjunct Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Tulane University’s School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana and Adjunct Professor in the Department of Criminology at the University of South Florida in St. Petersburg, Florida.
His academic background includes a Ph.D. in Chemistry and post-doctorate training at the University of Miami Medical Center. He was a member of Louisiana State University’s Center for BioModular Microsystems Industrial Advisory Board and is currently a Board Member of Forensic Quality Services (FQS), an ISO 17025 accrediting organization for forensic labs as well as a Fellow of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences.
Anne H. Montgomery, M.S.
As a Co-Founder of ReliaGene Technologies, Ms. Montgomery has spent over the past twenty years working in the field of forensic DNA analysis for government and private laboratories as a DNA Technical Leader, Consultant and Forensic DNA Lab Director.
Ms. Montgomery earned a BS Degree from the University of Florida and an MS Degree from Louisiana State University Medical Center. She is a court qualified expert in Molecular Biology and DNA Analysis having testified over 150 times in numerous jurisdictions throughout the United States. These cases included testimony for both prosecution and defense counsel.
Her professional experience includes being a member of the 2005 Hurricane Victims’ DNA Identification Expert Group, Lead DNA Laboratory Auditor and Scientific Consultant for numerous agencies and organizations. She is a longtime member of the American Association of Forensic Sciences and the American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors.
Gina Pineda, M.S.
Ms. Pineda is a court qualified expert in Molecular Biology and DNA Analysis with over 17 years of experience in the human identity field and has testified over 100 times in numerous courts of law throughout the United States, Canada, and Australia. These cases involved civil and criminal matters and included testimony for both prosecution and defense counsel.
Previously, Ms. Pineda held the positions of Assistant Laboratory Director and Technical Leader at two private DNA companies, ReliaGene Technologies and Orchid Cellmark. She received her Master of Science degree in Pathology with a concentration in forensic DNA from the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans in 2003. Ms. Pineda’s experience includes being qualified as a Lead Laboratory Assessor for ANSI/ASQ Forensic Quality Services. She also performs audits for the Canadian accreditation body, Standards Council of Canada.
As a Lead Laboratory Assessor, Ms. Pineda conducts audits and assessments of testing laboratories for compliance to the ISO17025:2005 standards and the FBI’s Quality Assurance Standards (QAS). She also provides training for forensic DNA scientists and attorneys and serves as a consultant for various government crime laboratories. She is a fellow of the American Association of Forensic Sciences (AAFS).
